Dunbar Mayor-Elect, Scott Elliott, accidentally shot himself in the arm in a hunting accident. He’s in the hospital with what the sheriff’s office says is a serious, but not life-threatening injury. It’s the second hunting accident this week. Another hunter was injured on Monday when a gun went off while it was being unloaded.

Kentucky State Police are investigating after a body was found in a truck on Flat Hollow in Greenup County. No foul play is suspected. Investigators say it looks like a crash that went unreported.

A two-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Three Forks. Police are looking for an older model, silver SUV with front end damage.

A Milton man died in a tractor accident on McComas Branch Road. Rescue crews found the victim pinned under the tractor. An investigation is ongoing.

A man is under arrest after leading police on a chase through multiple counties on I-64. Milton police tried to make a routine traffic stop when 24-year-old Austin Pierce took off. Firefighters battled a house fire on 5th Avenue. No one was home when the blaze broke out. Nearby buildings were also damaged. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.

A man was injured in a house fire on the East End. He jumped from the second story of the burning house on Beauregard Street. A second man was seen running from the scene. City officials boarded up the home and marked it condemned in October. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Mountaineers held off VCU 78-to-66 in the semi-final game at the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic in South Dakota. WVU faces Western Kentucky in the championship game this afternoon at 1:30.

Governor Justice says he expects the first batch of COVID-19 vaccine to arrive in West Virginia in about two weeks. He says he’s so confident in the vaccine that he’s considering getting a shot during one of his press conferences. Nursing home residents and healthcare providers will be the first to get the vaccine.
