Kanawha County has shortage of poll workers

Kanawha County officials are scrambling to find poll workers. About fifty workers dropped out at the last minute. Some are concerned about the coronavirus. There has been a rule change because of the virus to allow as few as three poll workers in a precinct instead of five.

Voters go to the polls today

West Virginia’s Primary Election is today. Polls are open until seven o’clock tonight. Plan to spend some extra time, social distancing, in line. Only four people at a time will be allowed to vote.

A Cross Lanes Gym Will Re-open Wednesday

Planet Fitness in Cross Lanes has announced it will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10. Team members will be conducting regular cleanings and they’ll have overnight deep cleanings. Physical distancing guidelines will also be in place.

WVSU Announces Plans for Fall Classes

West Virginia State University announced Monday it will have a modified academic calendar for the fall 2020 semester.
