As West Virginia’s economy reopens, the CDC is recommending that kids should wear face masks too. Health experts say that kids with COVID-19 have mild to no symptoms at all, and they could unknowingly spread the virus.

West Virginia will get almost six-and-a-half-million-dollars in a multi-state settlement with Santander Consumer USA. The company is accused of making loans they knew would never by fully repaid by low-income borrowers, affecting their credit scores.

A small plane made an emergency landing at Yeager Airport. The Cessna pilot reported a problem with the plane’s landing gear, but the tower verified the nose gear was down and the plane landed safely.

Another man is under arrest in connection to a murder and arson at an apartment in Williamson last weekend. Forty-six-year-old Charles Jarvis and 32-year-old James Church are charged in the case. Police are still looking for a third suspect.

The Kanawha County Courthouse is open, and evictions are once again being processed for people who can’t pay their rent. Before the pandemic there sixty-five evictions pending and fifteen more have been filed since the courthouse reopened on Monday.

Most Morgantown city employees will soon begin a four-day workweek with 10-hour days to give workers a chance to spend more time with their families and to offer extended hours to the public.
