Early voting begins today in West Virginia with coronavirus precautions. Voters will be asked to wear a mask and a glove on their dominant hand. Only four voters will be allowed in the polling room at one time.

WV mail carrier charged with election fraud

A West Virginia mail carrier is charged with election fraud for trying to change the party affiliation on request for absentee ballots in Pendleton County. Forty-seven-year-old Thomas Cooper admitted to altering the requests from Democratic to Republican as a joke.

More than 1,000 tested for COVID-19 at Huttonsville prison

Prisons are the new COVID-19 hot spot. More than one-thousand inmates and employees at the Huttonsville Correctional Facility in Randolph County were tested, and nearly forty came up positive. Governor Justice says his plan to gradually reopen the state’s economy is working. He says it will be several days before he has exact numbers on just how well the state economy did over Memorial Day Weekend.

Bar Exam Will Be Given in July

West Virginia’s Board of Law Examiners will go ahead with the bar examination this summer, with policies worked out with government and medical experts. The dates for the exam are July 28 and 29.
