How old were you when you had your first hole-in-one? Apparently 4 is a good age. Rocco Figaretti managed a hole-in-one on a par 3 course in Wheeling. His dad said he started playing golf a year ago, when he was three. The hole-in-one came at Oglebay Park’s Par 3 course.

Teachers Are Spending Hundreds of Dollars on Classroom Supplies

Many teachers spend their own money buying supplies for their classrooms. And this year they may be spending even more money on things like cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer. Teachers will be provided with some cleaning supplies, but WCHS TV reported some teachers will spend upwards of $1000 on supplies. School starts September 8th.

New Mingo County Virus Cases Include Kids

Mingo County health officials are monitoring their local coronavirus situation. There were nine new COVID-19 cases reported over the weekend, including a 3-year-old boy, a 7-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy. There are 59 active cases in Mingo County and 165 have recovered. The county has had five COVID-19-related deaths.

SNAP Stretch Program seeking funding

The West Virginia Food and Farm Coalition is scrambling to keep the SNAP Stretch Program going. The program doubles or triples federal benefits at farmers markets, but funding has run out for this year, and federal grant money was denied for next year. A request for federal CARES Act money is pending with the governor.

Justice making adjustments to school re-entry plan

Milton woman arrested on drug charges

A Milton woman is under arrest on drug charges. Officers responded to a disturbance call at Sue Terrace, and they found Amanda Morrison with a large bag of drugs stuffed in her pocket. Police found cocaine, heroin, and thirty ecstasy pills.
