A man, who has been missing for a week, has been found alive in an abandoned Gilbert-area mine. Rescuers found the man more than a half-mile from the mine entrance. Five people charged in Cross Lanes thefts

As many as five people are under arrest in connection to a series of burglaries and thefts in the Cross Lanes area. They’re accused of stealing vehicles, breaking in to storage facilities and homes. Fourteen charges have been filed, so far, and more arrests are expected.

Justice orders nursing home testing

Six more patients at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center tested positive for COVID-19, for a total of sixteen. 3 More COVID-19 deaths in WV

There have been three more COVID-19 related deaths in West Virginia, bringing the statewide death toll to sixteen, and 775 people in the state have tested positive for the virus. The positive test result rate is just over four-percent.

Gas prices falling

Gas prices continue to fall. The average price for a gallon of gasoline in West Virginia is $1.81, down 86-cents from a year ago. Gasoline demand is at an over 50-year low, and experts say it could drop to a dollar-a-gallon.

City & County leaders concerned about new business guidelines

County and City leaders are concerned about an emergency rule issued by state officials that allows three people per one-thousand-square-feet in grocery stores. That goes against Kanawha-Charleston Health Department rules allowing only two people per one-thousand-square-feet. City leaders say adding more foot traffic inside stores puts customers and front-line employees at risk.

WV will receive $1.25 billion in federal stimulus money

West Virginia will receive one-and-a-quarter-billion-dollars in federal relief money. The United States Treasury will issue guideline today on how that money can be used. Governor Justice hopes to use some of the money to cover the states 376-million-dollar budget shortfall.
