Big 12 plans to play

The Big-12 plans to play this fall. COVID-19 testing will continue through the season, with as many as three times a week for football, soccer and volleyball teams. The Mountaineer football season is set to begin on September 12th against Eastern Kentucky.

Bar closure extended in Monongalia County

Bars in Morgantown will remain closed. The Governor extended an order keeping Monongalia County bars closed until August 20th. State officials will reach out to bar owners and medical officials next week to come with a protocol for reopening safely.

6 more COVID-19 deaths in WV

Six more people have died from COVID-19 in West Virginia. Hospitalizations are up to 135, and almost 50 patients are in ICU. The state’s positive test rate is close to two-point-four-percent.

Nursing home visits paused
