Testing is underway at WVU after a student at the Evansdale Residential Complex tested positive for COVID-19. A handful of students were permitted to stay on campus on case-by-case basis. Residents will remain in self-quarantine until test results are back.
A man is under arrest for breaking into a gentlemen’s club on Capitol Street. A K9 unit assisted in the arrest, and the suspect was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A fire broke out at a vacant home on City View Drive in Logan. No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A South Charleston police officer is okay after turning over his police cruiser while responding to a shots fired call. Officers were responding to a brush fire in the Davis Creek area when some started firing at them. No one was hurt, and no arrests have been made.
West Virginia is reporting another coronavirus death, and seven more positive cases. The state death toll is up to nine, and there are more than 630 positive cases statewide. Governor Justice is adding Jackson County to the list of hotspots. The County had the highest increase of cases over the last 24 hours.

The West Virginia Adopt A Highway Spring Cleanup has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Division of Highways and Department of Environmental Protection said the event had been scheduled for April 25. The event has not yet been officially rescheduled.
