Man pleads guilty to bomb making charge

A Buckhannon man is pleading guilty to a federal bomb making charge. Sixty-two-year-old William Clark admitted to making an unregistered explosive device. He was arrested after an explosion outside of Selbyville Road home in March. Officers found bomb-making materials in Clark’s truck.

The first criminal trial since the start of the pandemic is set to take place in a Kanawha County courtroom. Cynthia Gatewood’s trial will start Monday. She’s accused of stabbing a woman outside a convenience store. Procedures have been modified for social distancing, including the use of bluetooth headphones for bench conferences.
