John Hopkins University “stunned” by Slemp resignation

Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health issued a statement saying they were “stunned and troubled” by the resignation of Dr. Cathy Slemp as West Virginia’s top doctor. Governor Justice asked Slemp to resign after expressing concerns about her leadership.

All DMV offices open for appointments

All Division of Motor Vehicle offices are now open across the state. You can schedule an appointment online for driver’s license testing. The DMV is extending the expiration date for all driver’s license knowledge permits to September 30th.

Man out of the hospital after attacking deputy

A man, who was hospitalized after attacking a Boone County deputy, and escaping from custody after a standoff, is out of the hospital. Forty-six-year-old James McCleese is now behind bars for kidnapping, and is facing additional charges.
