There are more than one-hundred new cases of COVID-19 in West Virginia, with active cases now topping one-thousand. The number of people in the hospital is creeping up to fifty, and fifteen people are in the ICU.

Governor Jim Justice announced this week that the target date for starting school will be September 8th. West Virginia schools Superintendent Clayton Burch says a delayed start will give schools more to prepare, and to make sure schools are safe.

Just because there is no State Fair this summer, it doesn’t mean you can’t get State Fair food. Several food vendors are holding a “Taste of the State Fair” each weekend through the end of the summer at the State Fair grounds.

A man is under arrest for attempting to flee when a state trooper tried to pull him over. The pursuit ended in a crash at Washington Street and Ruffner Avenue. No one was hurt.

A West Virginia mailman is pleading guilty to voter fraud. Forty-seven-year-old Thomas Cooper admitted to changing five mail-in ballot requests from Democrat to Republican. The alterations were caught by an elections official in the Pendleton County Courthouse.
