Shirley agrees to let investigators look at her cell phone

The Berkeley County woman accused of kidnapping her daughter and fleeing to Mexico will let investigators look at her cell phone. As part of a plea deal, Elizabeth Jo Shirley agreed to open her electronic devices so federal investigators can determine if she compromised national security.

Sixty new cases of COVID-19 in WV

There over sixty new cases of COVID-19 in West Virginia, for a total of over 35-hundred. The number of active case went down to just over 800. The state’s positive test rate is still below two-percent.

Charleston police settle use-of-force case

The City of Charleston has settled a use-of-force case against the Charleston Police Department. The department reached an 80-thousand-dollar settlement with Freda Gilmore’s family. Dash cam video showed two officers punching Gilmore several times while they tried to take her into custody.
