Toyota to Restart Putnam County Plant Next Week

Toyota has announced plans to resume operations at its North American plants. Beginning the week of May 4, plants will gradually reopen, after suspending operations in mid-March. Toyota said the reopening will follow federal and state health guidelines. The company has a plant located in Buffalo in Putnam County.

McClanahan Bride reopens after 5 years

The McClanahan Bridge is now open, after it was closed five year ago due to flood damage. The new bridge crosses the Poca River along County Route 31 in Lanham, and will eliminate a nine-mile detour. The two-point-two-million-dollar expansion is part of West Virginia’s Roads to Prosperity Project.
