Nitro Police officers, the mayor and workers at the Nitro Food Pantry helped pass out food in their area this week. Police officers also delivered meals Tuesday to those who couldn’t get to the pantry. The food pantry has opened to anyone who needs food.

A nursing and rehab center in Wayne County now has 72 positive cases of COVID-19. Administrators at the Wayne Nursing & Rehabilitation Center said 39 patients and 33 employees are positive. All of the tests at the nursing home have beein completed.

A tree fell on a home and a car in St. Albans during Monday morning’s storms. The tree crushed the car and damaged the roof over the carport. No one was hurt.
A second Marshall University employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee is in self-isolation at home, and has not been on campus for over a month.
Testing is underway at WVU after a student at the Evansdale Residential Complex tested positive for COVID-19. A handful of students were permitted to stay on campus on case-by-case basis. Residents will remain in self-quarantine until test results are back.
