As many as five people are under arrest in connection to a series of burglaries and thefts in the Cross Lanes area. They’re accused of stealing vehicles, breaking in to storage facilities and homes. Fourteen charges have been filed, so far, and more arrests are expected.

There have been three more COVID-19 related deaths in West Virginia, bringing the statewide death toll to sixteen, and 775 people in the state have tested positive for the virus. The positive test result rate is just over four-percent.
Gas prices continue to fall. The average price for a gallon of gasoline in West Virginia is $1.81, down 86-cents from a year ago. Gasoline demand is at an over 50-year low, and experts say it could drop to a dollar-a-gallon.
County and City leaders are concerned about an emergency rule issued by state officials that allows three people per one-thousand-square-feet in grocery stores. That goes against Kanawha-Charleston Health Department rules allowing only two people per one-thousand-square-feet. City leaders say adding more foot traffic inside stores puts customers and front-line employees at risk.

A Charleston man is under arrest for stabbing his brother during an argument. The victim is in critical condition with stab wounds in his chest and back. Thirty-five-year-old Nathaniel Darby is charged with malicious wounding.
