Fishing is free in West Virginia. Governor Justice is waiving the fishing license requirement for state residents through April 24th. DNR may still require a driver’s license or state ID. Anglers must practice safe social distancing.

Governor Justice named WVU Medicine Vice President and WVU Health Sciences Executive Dean Dr. Clay Marsh as the state’s coronavirus czar. Marsh says he’s encouraged that the number of confirmed cases of those being tested for the virus is staying steady at around five-percent.

Morrisey says some landlords are trying to cut corners on the eviction process during the coronavirus pandemic, and West Virginia has strict laws protecting tenants from unjust eviction.
An Elkins police officer is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after he was shot while trying to make an arrest. A suspect is in custody.
A significant drop in car sales will keep the Toyota engine and transmission plant in Putnum County closed a little longer. All North American Toyota factories will remain closed until mid April. The Buffalo plant is scheduled to restart April 20th.
