Former Harrison County Magistrate Tammy Marple is accused of embezzling more than 27-thousand-dollars from Emmanuel Christian School in Clarksburg. She used her position as the school’s treasurer to rack up nine different person charges on the school’s credit card.
Parkersburg police are looking for an armed bank robber. The man walked into the downtown branch of Community Bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A former West Virginia doctor pleaded guilty to trading sex for pain pills. Sixty-nine-year-old Eugenio Menez could face up to twenty-years in prison and a million-dollar fine if accepts a plea deal.
A man was detained for running into cars on foot in the Starbucks parking lot near CAMC in Kanawha City. Starbucks shut down for most of the day. So far, no charges have been filed. He was treated for minor injuries.
Charleston police are looking for a man who took off during a traffic stop and hit a woman who was walking her kids to school on the West Side. The woman is in critical condition. Forty-four-year-old Che Dushon Lark abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
A LeRoy man is accused of beating and shackling a woman. The victim says 45-year-old Peter Lizon severely beat her and tied her up with rope at their home, when he became angry because he thought she was talking to another man. Lizon is charged with kidnaping and malicious wounding. The woman is okay.
A Charleston man is accused of escaping home confinement. Forty-four-year-old Harrison Shaffer, Jr. pleaded guilty to intentionally leaving his home without permission. He’s on home confinement for a strangulation offense. Schaffer will be sentenced in April.
Huntington police are investigating a deadly shooting. Twenty-one-year-old Irvin Gilmore was shot and killed Thursday night on 25th Street. So far, no arrests have been made.
