Father & son accused of stealing steel from construction company

A father and son are accused of stealing over 20-thousand dollars’ worth of steel anchor rods and fasteners from a Charleston construction company. Fifty-six-year-old Larry Mullins and 33-year-old Brian Mullins sold the steel for scrap for around 150-dollars. They are charged with grand larceny.

Man carjacked by thief in stolen police cruiser

Ohio State Police are looking for a man who stole a police cruiser in Lawrence County, and then stole another car after pulling it over and conducting a traffic stop. Water systems effect by power outage

The power outages are affecting municipal water systems. West Virginia American Water says less than four-hundred customers are being impacted. Most outages are on the terminal ends of the company’s water service into the Salt Rock, Lincoln County, and Milton areas. Around fifteen pumping stations lost power, and crews hope to have generators online today.

Thousands still without power

Tens of thousands of Appalachian Power customers are still in the dark. App Power says they hope to have power restored to most customers by Monday night, and it may not be until Tuesday in Wayne and parts of Cabell Counties. House considers closing 4 nursing homes

Four state run nursing homes could be shutting down. The House of Delegates Health and Human Resources Committee says the facilities are in disrepair, and it would be cost prohibitive to build new ones. The state would pay to move patients to private long-term care facilities.

Fayette County man facing murder charge

A Fayette County man is under arrest for shooting and killing a man at his home in the Robson area. Doug Green confronted the man with small caliber handgun. He’s charged with first-degree murder.
