Public Service Commission to host a Charleston hearing on rate increases

The Public Service Commission announced Friday it will hear three cases affecting utility rate adjustments from Appalachian Power and Wheeling Power. The utility companies are disputing a consultant’s report that faulted operators for failing to control fuel costs. The hearings will be Tuesday, July 11 in Huntington; Wednesday, July 12 in Princeton; Monday, July 24 in Charleston; and Monday, Aug. 21 in Wheeling.
