He was the longest serving mayor of Charleston and has been a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates. He also served as a Kanawha County sheriff. Now Danny Jones is getting back to his role as a chef and restaurateur and said Wednesday he will be returning to the restaurant business. Jones said on his Facebook page he will open Danny’s BBQ Stand Feb. 19 at 1019 Quarrier St. in Charleston, next to where the first SportMart operated. His past restaurant ventures include Danny’s Rib House in Nitro and Danny’s on Lee Street in Charleston.
