Four fire departments in Wayne County battled a large house fire on Old Wayne High School Lane. The fire broke out in the attic and destroyed the home of former Wayne Mayor Junior Ramey. Everyone made it out safely. Ramey said there was a problem with an HVAC unit, and that’s believed to be the cause of the fire.
