Murder Suspect Arrested in Virginia

A man who was wanted for an April 2016 murder in Charleston has been arrested in Hampton, Virginia. U.S. marshals said 35-year old Gerard Rodo Spencer was wanted for first-degree murder in the shooting death of Ronald Seawright Jr. on Maryland Avenue. He was taken into custody by U.S. marshals and local law enforcement in Virginia. In May, U.S. marshals offered a reward for his arrest and believed he could still be in West Virginia, but also knew he had ties to Virginia.
