The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was closed Tuesday after it received water damage from heavy rains over the weekend. Sheriff Steve Deweese said the upstairs received a lot of water damage and a crew was there Tuesday removing the water and monitoring the air levels. The sheriff’s office is posting updates on its Facebook page and said it hopes to be back in its building by today.
