Kanawha County School Board President Ryan White is calling for a special meeting to reconsider the vote to hire a new superintendent. White wants to be sure the board didn’t violate the state’s open meeting law. Current Superintendent Ron Duerring will retire at the end of June. The board voted to promote current Deputy Superintendent Tom Williams.
