Plans are in place for a wheelchair-accessible playground at Kanawha State Forest in Charleston. The Kanawha State Forest Foundation said on social media that $58,000 has been donated for the playground, which is estimated to cost around $80,000. The playground next to the Spotted Salamander Trail will be brought up to current safety standards and new equipment will be installed. Installation is expected to start when the weather is warm and all funding is complete.
