FEMA approved over 130-million-dollars to build new schools in Nicholas County that were destroyed in the 2016 flood. The plan includes building a new Richwood High School and Middle School, and a new Nicholas County Middle School, Nicholas County High School and technical education center. The state expects to pay about 18-million-dollars of the total cost.
