The city of Charleston announced the closure of multiple streets in Kanawha City beginning next week and lasting through March. Mountaineer Gas Co. is planning to replace gas lines Tuesday. Feb. 18, and streets that will close are near Washington Avenue SE and Venable Avenue. Roads will be closed one at a time, beginning with 41st Street from Washington Avenue SE to Venable Avenue, SE and the closures are expected to last six weeks.
