Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards said some haven’t been following social distancing guidelines so he’s closing all public parks in the city until further notice. Under the stay-at-home order, residents should stay at home, maintain proper social distancing, wash hands several times per day, keep hands away from their face and change clothes when they get home after they have been in public. Edwards said there also are things that residents shouldn’t do – taking their whole family to the store, making unnecessary trips to the store, letting kids have play dates with friends and gathering with people who don’t live in their house. Serious social distancing is necessary to flatten the curve during the outbreak.
