Kids Will Continue to Receive Meals from Schools

West Virginia state education officials said all children will continue to receive meals with schools closed statewide until at least March 27. The state Department of Education is providing updates on its website about how the state school system is responding to the coronavirus. School employees across the state will continue to receive salaries. State education officials said not all employees have to report to their building. Superintendents are expected to be flexible with staff and find alternate ways they can contribute. The deadline for each county to have a distance learning plan in place was Thursday.
