New Mountaineer Mascot to be Crowned in April

The next Mountaineer mascot is a Lewisburg native is named after a university building. Colson Glover was named after Colson Hall on the downtown campus, and he was chosen Saturday as the 67th Mountaineer. Glover takes over the mascot duties from Putnam County native Timmy Eads in a “passing of the rifle” ceremony 3 p.m. April 17 in the lounge area of Elizabeth Moore Hall, according to a news release from WVU. Glover is a neuroscience major minoring in wildlife and fisheries resources. Glover will officially begin his duties for the 2020-21 year with the Gold-Blue Spring Game April 18 at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Center.
