No confirmed cases of COVID-19 in WV

Eight people in West Virginia have been tested for COVID-19, but there no confirmed cases of the virus in the state. West Virginia has setup a laboratory that is capable of doing its own testing for the virus.

State officials are taking precautionary measures to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Visitation has been canceled at state correctional facilities, WVU and Marshall have canceled in-person classes, and local school districts have emergency plans in place, and will temporarily close schools for deep cleaning if necessary.
