Now is the Time to Request an Absentee Ballot

The Kanawha County’s clerk is encouraging eligible voters to take advantage of the absentee ballot voting option as communities prepare for a possible outbreak of the coronavirus. County Clerk Vera McCormick said her office is currently receiving requests for absentee ballot applications and will start mailing them April 27 through May 6. McCormick also said she wanted to urge others to take advantage of the early voting option. She said there are now eight locations throughout Kanawha County making it very convenient for voters to stop in a location when in those areas.
