Officials Urge The Governor for a Stay-in-Place Order

Charleston and Kanawha County officials asked the state’s governor for a mandatory stay-in-place Sunday night. Multiple Kanawha County commissioners along with Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin sent to West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice Sunday saying sSocial distancing and staying home have proven to be critical in stopping the spread of this virus. They said putting this mandate in place would give our first responders and hospitals valuable time to acquire needed equipment before they are potentially overloaded with patients. The governor is holding a news conference this morning.
