A key procedural vote to advance a third coronavirus funding package failed in the U.S. Senate. West Virginia’s Senators split on the vote. Senator Joe Manchin says the package failed to put the welfare of health care workers, small businesses, and laid off workers as first priority. Senator Shelly Moore-Capito said the bill would have been “a significant step forward for our nation during this emergency situation.”
