The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources received two waivers from the federal government for SNAP recipients. One of the waivers provides and extension of the renewal period for those who already receive SNAP benefits. The other waiver allows for a supplemental payment to homes approved for SNAP benefits prior to Wednesday. The payments will be released to EBT cards on April 3 and May 1, and there is no application or paperwork required and clients do not have to contact their DHHR office to access those benefits.
