Williamson Memorial Hospital has announced that it will close its doors by the end of April. According to the Williamson Daily News, hospital leadership claims that the current coronavirus pandemic is playing a part in the closure. The hospital is expected to close April 21. Williamson Memorial Hospital is in the middle of a bankruptcy case. U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., released a statement saying that closing any hospital during a crisis like this is a bad sign for the region.
