A former Marshall University football player has passed away. Blake Brooks died at the age of 29. Brooks starred at South Charleston High School and won the prestigious Hunt Award for the season of 2009. He is the only player in school history to earn that award. Brooks headed to Fairmont State University and then walked-on at Marshall. Brooks would ultimately earn a full-ride scholarship.
