The Kanawha County Public Library is transitioning into the Town Center mall during its massive renovations downtown. Movers have been putting together shelves and stocking them with hundreds of books inside the library’s new, temporary home across from Talbot’s on the second floor. More than 70% of the library’s inventory will be put away in storage. Movers are expected to be finished in the next couple weeks, and the library should open to the public by the end of June. It may be two years before renovations are finished at the downtown library.
