Several are cited for illegal turkey hunting

West Virginia Natural Resources Police said they have been busy rounding up people illegally hunting turkeys. The agency said in a Facebook post that two officers charged several people in the Doddridge, Ritchie, Pleasants and Tyler county areas with hunting turkey over bait. Other people were charged with hunting without a license. Officers cited six people in Wood, Wirt and Jackson counties for hunting over baited sites and one for hunting without a license. Two people were caught hunting over bait on youth day in northern Roane County.
