Community Group Starts Discussion Meetings in Charleston

A small group met Sunday and talked about the change they want to see around town. The first ‘Charleston Community Talks’ meeting gave people the chance to talk about big things like the education and healthcare systems all the way down to community issues like the need for more trash cans in some neighborhoods. In the midst of protests and Black Lives Matter movements across the country, Charleston community leaders are taking the first steps to take action against inequalities facing African Americans. WCHS TV reported the group plans to meet every fourth Sunday of each month to promote positive change in their neighborhoods.
