Two Athletes at Marshall Test Positive for COVID-19

Marshall University announced Monday two student athletes and one employee has tested positive for the coronavirus. All three cases were asymptomatic and are not believed to be related. University and health officials don’t believe they contracted the virus on campus. The university said it established COVID-19 testing protocols for student athletes returning to campus for voluntary workouts. The three who tested positive are all in quarantine and their close contacts have been notified. No other confirmed cases of COVID-19 has been reported among employees, students in residence halls or student athletes.
