Police are investigating after a person was hit and killed by a train early Saturday morning. Charleston police were called to the intersection of South Park Road and Chesterfield Avenue about 2:25 a.m. after someone was reportedly hit by a CSX train. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the City of Charleston Traffic Division.
