Health officials say missing out on routine appointments like well-visits, annual check ups and immunizations could be dangerous. After months of quarantine, it’s important to get out for routine checkups now. Last year, the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department administered more than 1,600 immunizations, and so far this year, WCHS TV reported they have only given out 800. Doctors also want to reiterate the importance of going to preventative screenings like mammograms and colonoscopies.
