Drennen Awaits Psych Evaluation

A man accused in a West Side homicide and of going on a crime spree that included striking a Charleston police officer in the head with an antique iron has had his trial date postponed so a psychiatric report can be finalized. Joshua Drennen of Clendenin was charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree murder in the death of 77-year old Barbara Steele, whose body was found Feb. 11 inside her Georgia Street home.
