State Issues Some Guidelines for Fall Sports

The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission has released more guidance on fall sports. The agency is asking student-athletes and coaches to avoid giving handshakes, hand slaps or high fives to others and band and cheerleaders not travel to away games. Volleyball teams won’t switch benches during games. Pre-game meals will include more grab and go options. And athletes will come to games in uniform when possible to avoid locker room time. Other guidelines are posted on the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission website.
