Precautionary COVID-19 testing is being done for all inmates at the Mount Olive Correctional Center in Fayette County. Lawrence Messina, communications director of the West Virginia Department of Homeland Security, said 999 inmates are being tested after 29 initial positive tests were detected. COVID-19 testing was previously limited to the medical unit and one housing unit. The testing should be finished today.
