Interstate 77 Lighting Project is Finished

State highways officials said a major lighting project has been completed along Interstate 77 in Kanawha County that should increase visibility and safety for drivers. The $1.6 million effort involved the installation of high mast lighting towers at the interchanges at Exit 106 (Edens Fork) and Exit 111 (Tuppers Creek), according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of transportation. The project began in September 2019 and it was paid for with highway safety improvement funds.
