Crews Return After Helping With Hurricane Recovery in Louisiana

It’s been nearly two weeks since Hurricane Laura made landfall, and after the devastating storm, emergency responders from our own backyard were sent in to help aid in the recovery. This week, they’re heading home. They were sent to a FEMA operations base in Gonzales, Louisiana, and from there they were deployed to a small community called Anacoc. The Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority said the damage was and still is staggering and it will take months for some sense of normalcy to return. Some local emergency responders will stay there longer to help those still in need.
