Former KRT Employee Pleads Guilty to Taking Money From The Agency

A former KRT employee accused of taking more than $1,000 from a safe/money room at the transportation agency pleaded guilty to charges this week. Timothy Rowlands of Clendenin pleaded guilty in Kanawha County Circuit Court to entering with breaking and grand larceny. The Kanawha County Prosecutor’s Office said Rowlands took the money without authorization in March 2019. Rowlands is scheduled to be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and faces up to 20 years in prison, a $2,500 fine and restitution.
