Hundreds of people were tested for COVID-19 this week at separate testing events in Putnam County. The Putnam County Health Department, along with the Teays Valley Fire Department, the National Guard and Lab Corp, held a free testing site at Teays Valley Baptist Church Tuesday where nearly 500 people were tested. Putnam County is currently in the red on the color code map, and the governor wants testing boosted in those counties. There was another testing event at Winfield High School yesterday, with more planned this week.
