For the second straight day Thursday, no counties were listed in red on the DHHR’s county alert map. Six counties were in orange – Putnam, Kanawha, Fayette, Wayne, Logan and Monongalia. Six counties were in gold – Jackson, Nicholas, Boone, Mingo, Wyoming and Summers. The number of new COVID cases statewide jumped by 202 Thursday and now stands at 14,706 since the pandemic began. Active cases increased 86 and were at 3,550.
